I would like to thank all of the instructors who took time out of their day last Thursday to spend instructing newer drivers on how to drive fast around the Iowa Speedway track.

This is how I got into road racing, 24 years ago! This is a great way to build our club racing group to larger numbers so we can hold more events at the track for all of us to enjoy. We have to build new racers!!!

Our next event is August 15th, which is a Thursday coming up. We again need instructors for the students to be able to learn how to drive on a track. PLEASE take a half day off, and come help us! WE NEED YOU!

The gates open at 12, the event starts at 1:45 pm, and ends before 8 PM.

The success of our last event was proof that these people really appreciate your help!

The more instructors, the more fun for all, and the safer for all, too!

Instructors also get 50% off track time if you want to run in the experienced group. That is $87.50 for the afternoon! Cheap fun on a NICE track!

Hope to see you all there, sign up on Motorsportreg.com!

Thanks, Todd! I corrected my original. Old age sucks!

I am working on taking a vacation day for this. I don't know yet whether it'll be with the miata or the rx7 but either way I can instruct. Also, I will find our pop up tent and bring it out.

Nice!

BTW, Dave, did I see your name in the SM class for the Runoffs?

Yes you did. I figured I should go this year since it is the last year it will be at Road America. I got a spot in the Mazda section and and prepping the car for it now. I did miss out on the free tire deal that Hoosier ran as I was not quick enough on registering. This will be my first runoffs though and should be fun.

Nice, I haven't raced there but worked F&C at the 2009 Runoffs, and was crew for Tom Kraft. It's a great place.

Glad to hear you'll be there representing DMVR.
