This event has been called the Longest Day Driving School for the last dozen years, but with a temporary move to July this year, we have a new name.
Registration is now open on or Open to all makes and driver skill levels.

It's a fun weekend of high performance driving instruction at MidAmerica Motorplex, plus social events in the evenings. MAM is a great track for learning how to drive a road course - easy enough for a novice to learn the basics, with almost nothing that you can run into, but technical enough to challenge advanced students. For those looking to get into PDX in this area, this school is definitely the place to start - the focus on instruction and the nature of the facility will put you way up the learning curve. And, at $325 for the whole weekend of track time and classroom, it's a great deal compared to some of the other offerings around our area. (Discounts available for other packages as well).

Your in-car instructor will work with you on the finer points of car control and finding the best line for your car, while the classroom sessions add more on theory plus the ability to chalk-talk your way through sections that are giving you problems.

Additional features: Video in the classroom sessions, expanded passing opportunities (no limits for advanced students), and off-line corner entry training for intermediate and advanced students.

Your registration includes the track sessions and classroom, Friday night reception, and Saturday dinner at the track - no add-on fees! Plus, for those who register before June 18, a free event memento that will be a nice addition to your toolbox!

I've been to this school, and been there as "crew" for a friend driving my car the next year. I would highly recommend it, very good instruction in-car and classroom, and plenty of track time. The BMW club runs a very organized school.
