I may run with my Integra on snow the snow tires. Sounds like it's time to take off the 99% bald Kumho's tomorrow anyway.

The NHTSA gave the 2002 Forester a 3 out of 5 roll-over resistance rating. That's better than a Jeep Liberty, the same as an Oldsmobile Bravada, but worse than a Pontiac Aztec.

Again, it's not my call. But if it were my car I wouldn't want to risk it.

Thanks Jerry,
I've been on the same fence with this vehicle, even though it is the same drive line as the legacy etc.
It's the top weight/height that changes the equation and is it enough difference to allow?

That being said I will allow it but if I see that the vehicle seems unstable due to the conditions I will have to STOP the vehicle from competing the rest of the event, which means If I feel that the vehicle looks unstable on the first run, you are DONE for the day.
Is it the risk you want to take with the Forester????

I still may change my mind again just because I can :)

John

Thanks for the consideration... looks like I won't be able to make it all day tomorrow anyway, but I may be able to swing by for a bit in the morning to check things out, help with timing or whatever.

After setting thing up with Tony in his Forester with rather aggresive tires I didn't feel like we where ever on the edge of a tip over/role etc.
So I'm good with it at this time but I'll be watching things like any other vehicle/driver's abilities.
