Sure, he's got all the ground clearance in the world in the front... What's he going to do about the rear?

Does anyone have any tractor tires that would fit on mine?

I guess I am going to have to buy another race car. Ralleycross sounds like a blast. And I have lots of experience driving in dirt & mud. Anyone who has seen me at the track already knows this, though. Lessons, anyone?

Maybe I should buy a new all wheel drive turbo Porsche (pronounced "Porch") (Hi Mark) to race with, but I will probably have to raise it up a little bit by putting on some John Deere tractor tires and paint it green and yeller!

Lets Race!

Has any progress been made on moving this forward or do we have to wait until we get our stewards trained?

Still on the burner just have to get past the holidays and see what kind of schedule can be done.

I would like to try something either February/March yet if we don't get too much snow.

I just saw that a few of our neighboring regions are getting ready to start rallycrossing in the next month or so. Nebraska region's first event is February 20th and Land O' Lakes region's first event is March 5th. I'm hoping to make it to at least one of these, if not both. Anyone else interested in going and seeing how these events are run?

I am definitely interested in some rallycross and it sounds like several of the other Iowa Subaru Club guys are too. Is there any updates on the progress?

I think I'm going to plan on leaving DM around 7:15-7:30 on Sunday to head over to the Nebraska event. If anyone is interested in going along, either to compete or spectate, let me know.

Not sure if anyone else was planning on going to the Nebraska rallycross this weekend, but I just received an e-mail saying it was being postponed because of the surface conditions at the site. Looks like I'll be planning on the March 5 Land O' Lakes region rallycross in Cannon Falls, MN as my first event.

Thanks for the update,
I was also planning on going out to get my SSS license started for Rally so that we can hold these in Iowa.

I need to throw some of that mud on the back of my license plate so that I don't get a ticket for making a right turn on RED going on the Southbound I-80/35 on ramp from Hickman

We are planning a combined Solo/RX Safety Steward training class for the MiDiv convention in March. Also, if there are several DMVR members that wish to attend a RXSS class, I can arrange to hold one there at a mutually acceptable time. If you have a site, we could even do this as part of a DMVR held RallyCross for which I'll serve as your safety steward.
