Pam, David and I drove over to Brooklyn tonight to check out Limey and Aimee's new restaurant and on the way back stopped by for a bit at the ChumpCar event just at dusk. What a hoot! The Free Candy Honda seemed to be circulating at a pretty good clip but the 914 was nowhere to be seen. Also out on track was the older Nissan/Datsun Z with the sausage numbers that came out to one of our events last year. Here's a bit of video I shot with my Droid of the Honda:

We wandered around for a bit looking for you guys but without success, other than seeing the car flying around the track! I couldn't believe what a generally laid back attitude prevailed in the whole paddock area. Quite refreshing, and I can certainly see the appeal of this sort of racing.

Ric the Nizzan 300ZX with the sausages is from Ames, I was racing a blue Datsun 280Z that is also from Ames. I would expect to see both cars at DMVR autocrosses.
