Our race team is leaving tomorrow bright and early for the race in Ohio. 24HR of racing is what we will be doing.

We should have live in car feed to the internet and updates throughout the weekend.

Follow our twitter: FreeCandyRacing for updates and a link to the live video feed once we have it up and running.

We'll try to get a paddock camera up as well.

You should hook up your car's radio to Ventrillo or Teamspeak or whatever, and let us talk to the driver during the race too. ;)

Or... maybe someone who is following on twitter can post the link here?

Hope you guys have decent rain tires, looks like the forecast for Ohio is pretty rainy.

Broke the laptop out. John Jacobs is out on track right now. HUGE THANKS TO DAVE VOLANTE for the headlights. They are wonderful!

We are currently 30th place out of 120.

Lots of Yellow flags now that night has come. Our mascot has kept us out of the penalty box.

Be sure to follow our twitter for updates. FreeCandyRacing

This is awesome!!!!!!

As I posted a while ago down in the endurance racing forum, our boys have definitely been noticed by the folks at Jalopnik who are sort of covering the event, though they are experiencing the same lack of bandwidth that cost us the chance to ride along with a video feed. The bear makes an almost subliminal appearance in the BS inspection video and also in a couple of the galleries on Jalopnik. Here's a frame capture from the video:

Here's the whole video on Jalopnik:

Do you think they'll let Yo drive at night?

We are on the way back now. Race got over at noon.

With 4hrs we lost our headgasket partially. Getting compression into the coolant passages. We babied her to a finish of what is officially 39th out of 122 cars. Not bad for our first time and we learned many things.

Cannot wait for next year. We already got our new theme, yes it can get creepier.... ;)

PedoBear was a smash hit. Everyone loved him and hundreds of photos out there from people with him doing some air humping.... :)

Huge thanks to our crew without you guys we would have struggled for sure!!!

Yep it was good to get out of those "Pirate Boots" Oh yeh I almost tryed to drive with them on

Yes that's right I was in the seat with my Pirate boots on and said "s*** I got my damn boots on yet" had to climb back out and put the correct shoes on

Other note to the dramatic confusion, did you bring you tool box? "no" I thought you where bringing yours! "no" I thought you said you where bringing yours? "no" where are so screwed now :?
Lucky that Mikey brought his small craftsman tool kit cause we wouldn't have even been able to change tires, dah

I had the cordless stuff to drill and saw anything out of the car but no-way would we be able to change anything major like a half shaft or clutch.

Had a blast,

Thanks guys 8)

John

ShantyTown for the win!

I had a great time guys. Thanks to Yo and Brogie, they were not only immensely entertaining, but EXTREMELY helpful and crucial to our success.

Had a fantastic time and we're already planning on things for the next event.

A big thanks for Yo and John Brogie. They were the best crew you could ask for. Brogie was great over the radio and was on it for over 18 hours without a wink of sleep. Yo was great winning us points with the judges and cooking. Everyone brought something to the team and we worked well together.
