Not sure how many people saw this documentary on the Audi team racing at Le Mans last year when it aired on TV last week. I really wanted to see it, but don't have cable. I just found out last night that it is available as a free download from iTunes. I got about halfway through it last night and it is extremely well.

I watched the rest of the documentary last night. They did an amazing job with it. I knew how it was going to end, but I was still on the edge of my seat towards the end. I also really like how they show that it isn't all about the drivers. It shows that the team is what wins and looses the race. The drivers get the spotlight, but without the pit crew, engineers, etc., they wouldn't have a chance. I highly recommend watching it.

its definitely a great watch!! I couldn't believe that the engineers stay up the entire length of the race keeping track of all the monitors and onboard equipment! Some of the most intelligent people in racing I must say, they make great calls and are on top of the race at all times.

One day I will make it to Cirque de la Sarthe and watch that race. The fans are intense!

Start your career in Flagging and Communications at the SSRR at MidAmerica Motorplex in April. Once you gain some experience, make plans to work the ALMS long races - either at the Sebring 12 Hour or the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta. After you've worked those, consider seeing LeMans from the "near" side of the fence.
It's definitely on my "bucket list."
